‘He do the police in different voices’
Agata’s work documents a journey using traces that were left after the death of her father. Inspired by memories of regular hiking trips they took, Agata continues to walk as a part of her practice. Photographing the woodlands and ephemera, as a way of dealing with the loss and absence of her father.
By revisiting their favourite places she creates a journey through a fractured portrait of a loved one. The main force behind the project is a feeling described by the word ‘Hiraeth’ which is homesickness, tinged with grief or sadness over the lost or departed, mixed with nostalgia.
